Registration screen needs to display the person's position (Head/Spouse/child) etc.

When entering a registration, if a family has two individuals with the same first name (which is crazily more common that you'd think!), the person doing the registration has to guess which one is the right one.  If a Mom and daughter are both named Stephanie, or if a dad and son are both named Curt.  We have had multiple cases of the wrong person registering for an event and it creates a lot of confusion later on!  If you displayed the family position on the screen, it would totally be avoided.

Hi Sandi,

You're right that this can be a common occurrence. We do display the suffix and Goesby names to help with this. Adding family position is not planned for Access ACS event registration. I'm sorry - I wish I had a different answer.

Sandi - we do display the family in the following order: Head, Spouse, children then Other. So hopefully this will help determining which person to register.

Rebekah, I have checked over 20 of our registrations.. as the picture above... all our registrations list the family members in alpha order.  This is my family.. Gordon is head; Devon is child, Jessica is child, I am spouse... and as you see, my name is listed last, alphabetically.

Hmm. We'll take a look at this because I have seen it displaying in family position order as stated above. Thanks for the image. We'll post an update once R&D looks into this.

Sandi - After further conversation with R&D, we always put the Head's record first then the other family member are sorted alphabetically. This is because the Event Registration database doesn't have the other family position information to use for sorting. Our apologies for the confusion.
